The first of the great theaters built in Brazil and the largest theater in the northern region, is magnificent in every way: 1,100 seats, perfect acoustics, crystal chandeliers, hardwood mosaic floors, frescoes on the walls and ceiling, dozens of works of art, railings and other elements coated with gold leaf. The architectural design inspired by the Scala Theatre in Milan, the construction took place in the golden age of rubber, was opened in 1878 and the name alludes to the end of the Paraguayan War.
