The right place where the dark Amazon River waters meet the greenish waters of Tapajós River and form a landscape of a beautiful view and you can notice its  exuberant flora and fauna. The location is strategic for bird watching practice, monkeys, sloths and giant water lilies flowers. The canoe ride lasts about 5 hours, because you need to break through to the other side the Tapajós River. Around this area of Jari Canal are located the communities of Arapixuna and Carariacá which, in adding to folk festivals join the production of handicrafts.

How to get there
Leaving from Santarém you can take a boat ride at the dock, on Avenida Tapajós, s/n.

Best time to visit
The Amazonian landscape changes as the intensity of the rains. From December to June is the rainny season, the waters level gets high and covers up the sandbank and advances towards the forest. From August to November the measure of rain is reduced, allowing the appearance of river beaches.

What to do there
Get in contact and observe the fauna and flora, experience the rustic fishing, a full day visit to communities and purchase local handicrafts.
